Eden Prairie Website for SW 6-8 Schedules and Info

The Eden Prairie Boys Basketball Association (EPBBA) sponsors the Southwest 6-8 program. This is an equal play league. Information such as rules, equal play scoresheet, schedule, etc. can be found at www.epbba.org. (we will also try to duplicate the information here). The regular game schedule is prepared by EPBBA. As mentioned above, the WBBA will likely add some extra games on Saturday afternoons and some Friday nights during the season.

SW 6-8 League Policy

Team Formation: Registration is on a space available, first come, first served basis. Team rosters will be distributed to coaches, who are responsible for contacting the parents/players regarding the time and location of their first practice.

Practices: In general, practice days, times, and locations will vary, but Wednesdays will be avoided where possible. There may be an occasional Friday practice when space is limited or a second practice is possible.

Games: Regular league games will be held on Saturdays, in either the morning or afternoon. The game schedule will be published on the website. We will also have occasional “extra” games on Saturday afternoons or some Friday nights. These extra games will not count in the division records used to seed end of season tournament brackets.

Pictures: Schedules will be given out by the coaches/team parents  with each team's picture time scheduled so as not to conflict with their game(s) that day. More details will be provided at a later date.

End of Season Tournament:  Information available during the season.

Super Saver Program Option: An optional, additional opportunity for those players who would like to play some more games that are also a bit more competitive. Interested teams/players will be permitted to play in a limited number of "Super Saver" tournaments. The purpose is to provide the opportunity for players to further their development as basketball players, including those who are looking for more playing opportunity than the regular Southwest league provides. Each team can participate in up to 4 of these Super Saver tournaments (we limit it to 4 max so that players/parents/coaches are not overloaded). We will allow interested teams to play in Super Saver tournaments that occur on Sundays (so as not to conflict with regular Southwest league games which occur on Saturdays). There may be an additional cost if your player is interested in playing in Super Savers. The WBBA will fund 1 Super Saver tournament at no additional charge. If a team wants to play in 3 or 4 tournaments, then the team will need to pay for the other 1 or 2 (less than $25 per player per tournament). We realize that not everyone is interested in this, and that is perfectly OK. We are presenting this additional, optional opportunity due to the varied interests in our program.
